Also known as the YSR Jagananna Housing Scheme, this scheme is a move by the AP Government to provide housing for the poor. It is implemented by Andhra Pradesh State Housing Corporation Limited and under this scheme, the Government is expected to spend Rs. 28,000 crores for the construction of about 15.6 lakh houses.
Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched this scheme on June 3 2021. It’s informally also known as Jagan Housing Scheme after the CM of AP inaugurated this project. This phase is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2022.

An interesting fact about this project is that the government will issue all property deeds under the name of women’s family members.
PMAY-YSR Urban Housing Scheme is a joint initiative of the Central Government and the Government of Andhra Pradesh. This aims to provide permanent houses to people living in urban areas of Andhra Pradesh. The governments will focus on urban poor, middle and lower-income level people while constructing and distributing houses under this project. Central Government has sanctioned a sum of Rs. 5,000 crore and State Government has also committed a sum of Rs. 1,000 crore.
