A PAN card is a 10-digit unique identification alphanumeric number issued by the Income Tax Department. PAN card number is unique to every individual. It is regarded as probably the most important document alongside Aadhaar when it comes to filing income tax returns. Naturally, any incorrect information on your PAN card can lead to major inconvenience and complications in the future. So, if there are any errors or discrepancies in your PAN data, you should opt for PAN Card Correction. Here is a detailed guide for PAN card updates or corrections that you can follow.
If you are looking to make necessary corrections to your PAN data, you can visit the official NSDL website. The process of online PAN correction is fast, simple and hassle-free. Here’s what you need to do to update your PAN Card online:

Enter your name, mobile number, email ID, and PAN number. Make sure the details you are entering are correct.
Once you enter the Captcha and click on submit, your request will be registered and a Token Number will be sent to the email ID provided by you.
