You can apply for a student PAN card online through the website of NSDL by following these steps:

Visit the official website of NSDL.

Now, choose the ‘Apply for PAN online’ option from the Quick Links section. Read the instructions thoroughly and then proceed.
Step 3
Click on ‘Application Type’ and then fill up Form 49A, which is meant for Indian residents. Choose the relevant category, which will be ‘Individuals’ for students.
Step 4
Carefully fill up the online PAN application form with necessary details such as name, email id, phone number, date of birth, and more. Enter other required information and attach relevant supporting documents.
Step 5
Provide the CAPTCHA and then submit your application. You will receive a 15-digit acknowledgement number with which you can track your PAN application status.
Step 6
After this, you have to proceed to pay the fees for the PAN application. If you are applying within India, you will have to pay a fee of Rs. 110. However, those applying from outside the country need to pay Rs. 1,020.
Step 7
Take a printout of the acknowledgement slip, sign the form and paste two recent passport-sized photographs. Send the physical copies of supporting documents along with the form to NSDL e-Gov.
You will receive your PAN card in 15-20 working days after you send the relevant documents.
