Follow these steps to link mobile number with Aadhaar:
- Step 1: Visit your nearest Aadhaar Enrolment Centre or Aadhaar Seva Kendra. You could do so either through UIDAI official website or mAadhaar app or by calling 1947.
- Step 2: Place a request with an operator at Aadhaar Seva Kendra. You would be handed out an Aadhaar Correction Form. Fill out the form and mention the mobile number you want to link with Aadhaar.
- Step 3: Upon Aadhaar Correction Form submission, an executive would help you with biometric authentication.
- Step 4: Upon successful biometrics authentication, you would receive an acknowledgement slip.
- Step 5: This receipt would have the Update Request Number (URN) that could be used to track the status.

How to Verify an Aadhaar Card Link with Mobile Number?
Follow the steps given below to verify:
- Visit UIDAI Official Website.
Visit UIDAI official website and go to ‘My Aadhaar’ – located at the top left of the menu bar.
- Go to Aadhaar Services
Go to Aadhaar Services and select ‘Verify Email/Mobile Number’.
- Fill out the Details
Enter details such as the Aadhaar number, email ID, mobile number and security code, and submit. You shall receive an OTP on the registered mobile number. Submit the OTP generated.
- Select the ‘Verify OTP’ option.
Once done, select ‘Verify OTP’. A green tick will appear on the screen in case of successful verification.

- Step 1: Visit this site https://ask.uidai.gov.in/
- Step 2: Select ‘Indian Resident or Non-resident Indian as per the category you belong to.

- The verification procedure is in line with DDSVP Committee recommendations

3. Authentication User Agency (AUA) Point of Presence update
- Fields: Update of demographic fields
- Identity authentication: Biometric authentication on AUA device, additional factors might also be involved as per the UIDAI, such as mobile OTP for taking requests of updates
- Document verification:
- Based on a registrar’s verification and resident authentication, UIDAI will accept update requests.
- Collection of electronic or scanned document copies may be done online for auditing.
- Form filling and acknowledgement:
- A registrar’s operator initiates this process on a device that includes a biometric authentication feature (Micro-ATM).
- The acknowledgement slip containing the URN may be a print receipt, an SMS or an email based on the request type.
