The full form of MGNREGS is Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. Introduced by the Indian government in 2005, MGNREGS aims to provide a legal guarantee of 100 days of wage employment every financial year to households in rural areas of India whose adult members volunteer for unskilled manual labour.
Key Objectives of MGNREGS
The primary objectives of MGNREGS are:
Provide 100 days of guaranteed employment to the marginalised section of the society living in the rural area
Reduce labour migration from rural to urban areas
Creating sustainable rural infrastructure and assets through the employment generated under the scheme
Empowering women and improving their participation in the workforce
MGNREGS Eligibility Criteria
Applicant should be 18 years or above
Applicant should be an Indian resident
Applicant should be ready to do unskilled manual labour

Ask for the job card registration form – fill out the form with relevant details
MGNREGS job card would be issued to you upon verification of your details

MGNREGS is implemented by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, and has been instrumental in reducing poverty and enhancing rural livelihoods in India.
