Objectives of PMGDISHA
The objectives of PMGDISHA are:
To make at least one member of every family digitally literate
Empower citizens in rural India by training them to operate computer and other digital services
Any digitally illiterate person from every eligible rural household
Age: 14 – 60 years
Only one person per eligible household
For PMGDISHA (full form – Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan) registration, priority would be given to non-smartphone users, college dropouts, digitally illiterate school students from standard 9 to 12, SC, ST, BPL, women, and differently-abled persons. The primary aim of the initiative is to reach out to 60 million Indians and make them digitally literate.
