Follow the below-mentioned steps to download your e-Aadhaar using your name and date of birth:
Visit the official website of UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) first.
Select ‘My Aadhaar’ on the homepage. Under ‘My Aadhaar’, you will find the ‘Aadhaar Services’ menu. From the menu, choose ‘Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID’.
A new page will be displayed in front of you, wherein you will have to fill up the relevant information. Choose ‘Aadhaar No. (UID)’ or ‘Enrollment ID (EID)’ on the given page. Now, type your full name. Provide your registered mobile number or email ID. Enter the CAPTCHA security code shown to you and press ‘Send OTP’. You will receive an OTP (one-time password) on your registered mobile number. Type your OTP in the specified field and press ‘Verify and Download’.
After successful verification of the OTP, you can download your e-Aadhaar card. However, it may be password-protection. The right password will be a combination of the first 4 letters of your name in capital and your year of birth.
To download you Aadhaar from the UIDAI website using your enrollment ID, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Visit the UIDAI website and go to the Aadhaar online services
Step 2: Select the Enrollment ID (EID) option from the ‘Download Aadhaar’ website.
Step 3: Enter your enrollment ID, full name, PIN Code, and the captcha code
Step 4: Request OTP. It will be sent to your registered mobile number
Step 5: Enter the OTP in the relevant field on the screen
Step 6: You may have to complete a quick survey first
Step 7: Now, click ‘Verify and download’ to download your e-Aadhaar. You will have to enter a password. The password will be a combination of the first 4 letters of your name in capital letters and your year or birth.
You can also do an Aadhaar card download using a 16-digit virtual ID as follows:
Step 1: Visit the official UIDAI website
Step 2: Click on ‘My Aadhaar’
Step 3: Now click on ‘Download Aadhaar’ and a new window will open up
Step 4: Now, select the ‘Virtual ID’ option and enter it
Step 5: You have the option to select ‘Masked Aadhaar’. Select it if you do not want the full Aadhaar card number to be displayed on the screen.
Step 6: Enter the captcha shown
Step 7: Select the ‘Send OTP’ option
Step 8: Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number
Step 9: You will have to complete a quick survey
Step 10: Click on ‘Verify and Download’ and your e-Aadhaar will be downloaded after you enter the correct password
You can follow the steps mentioned below to download the electronic version of your Aadhaar card from DigiLocker
Step 1: Open the DigiLocker app on your hand-held device
Step 2: Log in to your account
Step 3: Search for Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) on the search bar
Step 4: On the new window, choose the Aadhaar option. Now, tap on it to confirm
Step 5: A pop-up will be shown on your screen. Check the disclaimer and click on ‘Ok’
Step 6: An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter it in the highlighted field and then click ‘Continue’
Step 7: Go to the ‘Issued Documents’ section of the app to find your Aadhaar. If you click on the ellipses (three dots), you will see the option to download
UMANG or Unified Mobile Application for New-Age Governance is a Government-of-India initiative under the digital India programme. You can also download e-Aadhaar from the UMANG App by following the steps below:
Step 1: Download the UMANG App on your phone
Step 2: Now, click on ‘New User’
Step 3: Now, you will see ‘Select Registration Mode’ on your screen
Step 4: Click on the Aadhaar option and you will be redirected to a new screen
Step 5: Enter your Aadhaar number
Step 6: Accept the terms and conditions
Step 7: An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter it in the relevant space and click ‘Verify OTP’

You can download your e-Aadhaar from the mAadhaar app as well, provided you have registered your mobile number at the time of Aadhaar enrollment. Simply follow these steps to complete the process:
Step 1: Download the mAadhaar App on your communication device. It is available on both Google Play and App Store

Step 3: Click on ‘Download Aadhaar’ in the ‘Get Aadhaar’ section

This is another option for e-Aadhaar card download. Follow the steps mentioned below to do it:
Step 1: Go to the UIDAI official website
Step 2: Click on the ‘My Aadhaar’ tab
Step 3: Click on ‘Download Aadhaar. You will be redirected to a new link
Step 4: Select the ‘Aadhaar Number’ option from the available list
Step 5: Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number. Else, choose the masked Aadhaar option, if you don’t want the full number to be displayed
Step 6: Enter the security code and click on the ‘Send OTP’ option
Step 7: You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter it in the highlighted space on the screen
