The proceedings begin in the morning in which ritual art performances like ambala kavadi (temple worship) and pookavadi (flower worship) are formed according to the shape of the kavadi (richly decorated wooden arch which is carried on the shoulder). Fireworks mark the end of the festival.
It is a ten-day festival celebrated every year in Shilpgram near Taj Mahal, Agra. This is a historic festival to celebrate the heritage of Mughal era as well as portray India’s rich culture, art, craft, food, dance and music.
